The firm

One attorney. Every file.

This is a sole practitioner's practice. One California-licensed attorney handles every matter from the first call to the last signature — the same lawyer who evaluates your case negotiates it and stands up in court on it. There is no intake department between you and your lawyer.

Consultations are available in English and Spanish, and cover Los Angeles County and the surrounding Southern California courts.

What working with this firm looks like

• A direct line. You reach the attorney handling your file, not a case manager and not an answering service passing on a message.
• An update every month. Whether or not anything has changed. If a case is quiet, you are told it is quiet and why.
• No fee unless you recover. Injury and lemon law matters are handled on contingency. Whether you would owe case costs if there is no recovery is set out in the written fee agreement, in plain terms, before you sign anything.
• A file built for trial. Most matters resolve before trial, and that is usually in a client's interest — but a case prepared to be tried resolves on better terms than one that was never going anywhere.

Where the name comes from

Sipora was the founding attorney's mother's Hebrew name. In Hebrew, tzipporah means bird. She had three sons, and the firm carries her name.

So there is no confusion about what that means: exactly one attorney practices at this firm. “& Sons” refers to her three sons, only one of whom is a lawyer. It is a family name, not a count of the lawyers on staff. There are no partners and no associates.

How the firm is organized

Sipora & Sons is a trade name of The Masjedian Law Firm, the solo law practice of a California-licensed attorney. It is not a partnership and not a corporation. Every engagement agreement is entered into with the attorney's practice, and every matter is handled by that attorney personally. The firm also operates under the name The Masjedian Law Firm at themasjedianlawfirm.com.
